The Development Events Manager will lead the planning and execution of events at Planned Parenthood of Illinois (PPIL). The Events Manager will establish the purpose, theme, and budget for events to meet departmental goals and partner with Development team members to develop donor strategies to expand and engage PPILs network of supporters. This position works under the supervision of the Director of Development.

Supervisor: Director of Development
Status: Full?time, exempt from the overtime provisions of the wage and salary administration policies.
Education: A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university is required
Experience: A minimum of three years of fundraising experience with event planning experience
Professional Qualities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A self?motivated team player who can energize and lead both staff and volunteers. Dedication, flexibility, attention to detail and creativity a must. Familiarity with fundraising software (Salesforce NPSP and email platforms experience strongly preferred) and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Canva. Must be willing to maintain a flexible work schedule including evening and weekend hours and limited state?wide travel. Must possess a valid Illinois drivers license. All candidates must have a commitment to operating goals of Planned Parenthood and possess the ability to contribute to the overall goals of the development department and organization.
