Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Ansible Engineer to lead automation design, validation, and deployment for T-Mobile's network and infrastructure, managing over 35,000 servers across various platforms. Use tools like Ansible Automation Platform, Puppet, and Python to enhance automation and infrastructure management. Key Responsibilities Design and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules for cloud infrastructure. Lead migration from Puppet to Ansible; automate cross-platform infrastructure. Develop API integrations with systems like ServiceNow, WSUS, and databases. Automate patch management for Linux, AIX, and Windows systems. Ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability through automation. Identify and implement new automation strategies. Collaborate with teams to define automation needs and mentor junior engineers. Create technical documentation and present solutions to stakeholders. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering. 5+ years experience with Ansible automation. Deep knowledge of Ansible, Puppet, SCCM, and infrastructure-as-code. Proficiency in Python, Jinja2, Bash, and PowerShell scripting. Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and DevOps practices. Strong Linux/Unix and Windows system administration skills. Effective problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ServiceNow, WSUS, and API integrations. Background managing large-scale enterprise systems. Knowledge of monitoring tools and security standards. Additional Information Travel required: Yes. Position is not DOT regulated or safety sensitive. Salary range: $113,600 - $205,000, plus a 15% bonus target.
