Now Hiring: Professional ARMED Security Officers

Armed Enforcement is seeking highly trained and reliable Armed Security Guards to protect client properties, assets, and personnel. We are looking for professionals who take pride in maintaining safety, visibility, and strong situational awareness.

Available Shifts

Shift 8 — Norfolk

Week 1:

• Mon–Wed: 3 PM–11 PM
• Thurs–Fri: OFF
• Sat–Sun: 3 PM–11 PM

Week 2:

• Mon–Fri: 3 PM–11 PM
• Sat–Sun: OFF

Shift 13 — Portsmouth

Week 1:

• Mon–Thurs: 2 PM–10 PM
• Fri–Sun: OFF

Week 2:

• Mon–Tues: OFF
• Wed–Sun: 2 PM–10 PM

Shift 14 — Portsmouth / Virginia Beach / Norfolk

Week 1:

• Mon–Fri: OFF
• Fri: 2 PM–10 PM (Portsmouth)
• Sat–Sun: 3 PM–11 PM (Virginia Beach)

Week 2:

• Mon–Tues: 3 PM–11 PM (Virginia Beach)
• Wed–Fri: OFF
• Sat: 6 AM–3 PM (Norfolk)
• Sun: 6 AM–11 PM (Norfolk)

Shift 15 — Portsmouth / Norfolk

Week 1:

• Mon–Fri: OFF
• Sat–Sun: 2 PM–10 PM (Portsmouth)

Week 2:

• Mon–Fri: OFF
• Sat–Sun: 2 PM–10 PM (Norfolk)

Shift 18 — Hampton

Week 1:

• Mon–Tues: 6 AM–2 PM
• Wed–Fri: OFF
• Sat–Sun: 6 AM–2 PM

Week 2:

• Mon–Thurs: 6 AM–2 PM
• Fri–Sun: OFF

Fortis College — Full Time (34.5 hours)

• Mon–Thurs: 5:30 PM–10:30 PM
• Fri: 4 PM–10:30 PM
• Sat: 9 AM–5 PM

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients and staff
• Observe, detect, and report suspicious or criminal activity
• Respond lawfully in defense of life or property
• Document unusual incidents with accurate, detailed notes
• Patrol buildings and perimeters (randomly or scheduled)
• Monitor access points, gates, alarms, and surveillance systems
• Operate emergency and detection equipment
• Provide first aid or CPR when needed

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of security or related experience (retail experience a plus)
• Strong observational and communication skills
• Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours
• Ability to work in various weather conditions

Requirements

• Valid DCJS Armed Certificate
• Must provide your own weapon and full gear
• Valid OC, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications
