What You'll Be Doing Transportation of inpatients and outpatients to Radiology Department. To ensures the safe transport of patients and equipment to and from all patient care areas via stretcher, wheelchair, or ambulatory process. Transports patients, on a daily basis, to and from various departments, informing nursing staff of the transport and return, with 100% accuracy of observing safely standards. Railing are in upright position. Intravenous needle remains in place. Monitors supply flow or oxygen as established by the attending nurse. Secures patient to transport. Communicates clearly and tactfully with patients. Receives assignments from electronic system, such as hospital-issued phone, and reports completed assignments. Also receives assignments as needed technical/clinical personnel involved with patient care. Upon lifting the patients, with assistance if needed, moves them to wheelchair/stretcher and transport the patient to the assigned examination room. Travels to different patient care areas to obtain stretcher/wheelchair for use if unavailable on the floor for scheduled patient pickup. Brings all unused stretcher and wheelchairs to a centralized storage location. Ensures delivery of excellent customer service resulting in positive and improving patient satisfaction scores for department and Hospital.
