Hybrid Revenue Cycle Specialist – Medical Claims & Billing

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Revenue Cycle Specialist with a strong focus on medical claims and billing to join a reputable healthcare team in Irving, TX . Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, review, and submit electronic and paper medical claims to insurance companies, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
• Monitor claim status, identify and resolve issues related to claim denials or rejections, and ensure timely resubmissions as needed.
• Conduct thorough insurance verification and eligibility checks before claim submission.
• Work directly with insurance carriers and third-party payers to follow up on outstanding claims and ensure prompt resolution of unpaid accounts.
• Ensure compliance with billing guidelines, payer-specific rules, and federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Assist with billing audits and implement corrective action plans based on findings.
• Support patients and internal stakeholders by addressing billing inquiries and explaining insurance benefits and claim status.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of recent experience in medical billing and claims processing , preferably in a healthcare provider setting.
• Strong understanding of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and insurance requirements for government and commercial payers.
• Experience working with EHR and billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, NextGen, or similar).
• Knowledge of the complete revenue cycle with a specialty in claims and reimbursement processes.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; billing certifications (e.g., CMRS, CPB) are a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and follow-up skills.
