In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems, including security systems, audio/video systems, data cabling, and telecommunications. Responsibilities

  • Install and configure low voltage systems such as security alarms, CCTV, audio/video, and data networks.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with low voltage systems and equipment.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure proper functioning.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Document all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Provide technical support to clients and address any concerns or technical questions they may have.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to low voltage systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in low voltage systems preferred.
  • Proven experience as a low voltage technician or similar role in the installation of low voltage systems.
  • Strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems and building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manuals.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools commonly used in low voltage installations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
