Job Overview: The Director of Intelligent Automation and Enterprise AI Enablement is responsible for vision, strategy, technical solution delivery, leadership, coaching, and growth of a dynamic product and software development team. The role focuses on scaling T-Mobile's enterprise automation and AI enablement journey, overseeing product roadmap, technical build, support, and maintenance of automation/low code and AI platforms. Initially leading a team of 10 FTEs, managing a budget of $15M - $25M, and coordinating with onshore and offshore teams, the director ensures achievement of core business metrics and technology outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with senior internal customers, understanding their business strategies, and aligning product and technology strategies accordingly. Partner with the enterprise AI team to ensure responsible use of AI models and avoid overlap in foundational responsibilities. Oversee the development and deployment of agentic AI solutions to enhance internal processes and productivity. Drive continuous improvement of the universal assistant to meet enterprise needs. Develop strategic roadmaps for adopting and scaling low-code platforms. Manage a portfolio of high-quality products and services, defining KPIs and metrics for performance measurement. Lead internal and external software development efforts to deliver products. Align team activities with funding and budget priorities. Communicate vision, strategy, and goals to direct reports. Develop and deliver training to upskill the enterprise on low-code platforms. Drive innovation through automation, low-code, and AI technologies. Implement change management and communication plans for internal initiatives. Design organizational structure and leverage resources effectively, including staffing and partnerships. Promote a culture of continuous improvement across Agile teams. Stay informed on new developments and incorporate innovations into practices. Manage department budgets, delivery, and service performance, optimizing costs. Contribute to overall IT strategy, policies, and processes. Support modernization of legacy systems and infrastructure for CI/CD. Business & Technical Execution: Manage a budget of $15M - $50M. Oversee end-to-end delivery of automation, low code, and GenAI solutions. Build strong relationships with external and internal delivery teams. Manage technical operations, including system health and SRE functions. Drive cost efficiencies and technology roadmap updates. Lead continual service improvements and ensure effective collaboration. Support resource prioritization and operational efficiency. Manage vendor relationships and contracts. Handle operational issues and production defect resolution. Leadership and People Management: Set clear, measurable goals aligned with company objectives. Manage a team of 5-10 managers and senior managers, including performance reviews and development plans. Foster a culture of feedback, collaboration, and professional growth. Lead through change, motivate, and develop team capabilities. Work Experience & Skills: Minimum 10 years in IT management, with 5+ years in leadership roles. 7-10 years leading large-scale enterprise agile delivery, especially in automation and AI. Experience managing teams of 5+ managers and vendor partners. Deep knowledge of automation, low code, generative AI, and chatbot technologies. Proven success in delivering complex automation initiatives. Strong communication skills for diverse audiences. Analytical skills to drive data-informed decisions. Certifications (Preferred): Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) RPA Certification AI Certification Additional requirements include being at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the U.S., and willing to travel. The role is not DOT regulated or safety sensitive. The base pay ranges from $179,600 to $243,000, with a 25% bonus target.
