Jamaican Bobsleigh NFT Project
The JBNFT Project is an NFT project with the Olympic Jamaican Bobsleigh Federation Foundation to raise funds to bring the Jamaican Bobsleigh team back to the Olympics. JBNFT is using NFTs for that task by releasing a series of NFTs as the primary fundraising for this journey.
The proceeds from the NFT releases will go toward providing the necessary equipment and support needed to get the team to the Olympics, while being able to compete using world-class facilities. The proceeds will also help with the acquisition of Olympic level bobsleighs and travel to the qualifying and eventual Olympic matches. The secondary aspect of this project is to help with violence prevention initiatives in Jamaica through sports.
The 2022 Olympic Winter Games will mark the 8th Games Jamaica has participated in since its debut in 1988. There will be multiple sets of bobsleighs auctioned off and will include:
- Super-Rare bobsleighs (1 of 1s)
- Rare editions of each games
One exciting aspect of this NFT project is that the digital artwork on the bobsleighs will be transformed into the physical thing which the Jamaican Bobsleigh Team will use in the Olympic qualification races!
NFT DROP-ONE
The format of the first drop will be in the form of a collaboration with artists who have been creating in the NFT space as well as visual artists living in Jamaica. The artwork will be 3D bobsleds covered in the artwork created by the artists, each available for auction. With the release of these, there will be varying levels of rarity, each having a unique number of editions, from 100 to 1, with different design cues per rarity.
Project Art
Different teams will be responsible for designing 3D bobsleighs. The teams will be made up of popular visual artists from the NFT community and Jamaican visual artists. Each bobsleigh is to be on a turntable, set to spin around twice in 30 seconds (like a trophy). The rotations will be accompanied by music produced in collaboration with Jamaican artists.

- Jamaica visual artists
- Renowned crypto visual artists
- Jamaican producers
The Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport along with the National Art Gallery of Jamaica has supported our NFT project by promoting it to Jamaica’s artist communities
There will then be a secondary auction of digital bobsleighs with the highest selling auctions being recreated as physical bobsleighs and used in the preliminary qualifying races for the Olympic Games of 2022.
